Sharon Yvonne Stone is the only daughter of Dorothy Lawson (an accountant) and Joseph William Stone II, an engineer and tool maker. She was also a employee in a manufacturing plant. Sharon was born on 10 March 1958in Meadville Pennsylvania. Michael, Kelly, Patrick and Dorothy Lawson are her 3 siblings. Stone was in second grade when she entered kindergarten at age five. Saegertown Senior High School in Saegertown Pennsylvania was the place where she graduated in 1975. She also competed at the Miss Pennsylvania pageant and won Miss Crawford County. Stone as well as her aunt relocated from New Jersey to New Jersey to start a modelling career in the year 1977. They signed up for an agency called the Ford Modeling Agency after a short period of time. She soon relocated to Europe and spent a full year with her aunt in Milan in Italy and Paris. Stone unhappy with the model world within Europe decided to take up acting while living in Europe. She appeared at 20 in Woody Allen's "Stardust Memories," which received mixed receptions.
